Notwithstanding the pandemic affecting us all, ICPHSO, like so many other organizations and businesses continues to work to meet the training and educational needs of global product safety professionals. Pictured above are members of ICPHSO’s Executive Committee holding its first zoom conference call (Committee Member Belinda May was unable to participate since she was getting married! Congratulations to Belinda and Ralph).
ICPHSO’s first Virtual Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 10:00 am EDT and session information has been posted on the website under AGENDA. Registration is open as are sponsorship and virtual exhibitor opportunities.
We had been working closely with Google to hold our 2020 Regional Training Workshop at their offices in San Francisco, but due to the pandemic, had to switch to a virtual conference platform We appreciate the efforts Google undertook to host ICPHSO, and hopefully we will be able to hold a future workshop at Google.
Our virtual workshop is being hosted by ASTM International who has generously offered ICPHSO the use of their virtual conference platform. Special thanks to Len Morrissey and Molly Lynyak from ASTM International.
Our Virtual Workshop Planning Chairs, Rebecca Sharpe and Tabatha Bauer along with the ICPHSO Executive Committee have identified the agenda and we are working on identifying a diverse group of product safety professionals to speak during the workshop. As new information becomes available it will be posted on line.
We are optimistic about the opportunities a virtual workshop gives ICPHSO and its stakeholders, especially since everyone in the global product safety community will be able to register at a reasonable price and take part in this timely workshop.
Please also remember to Save the Date of October 27-28, 2020 when we anticipate returning to Brussels to hold our 2020 International Symposium in collaboration with the European Commission during its International Product Safety Week. Call for Presentations will be issued soon by International Planning Chair Rod Freeman and we hope to see many proposals submitted.
Stay safe and be well and hope to see you virtually at our next workshop!
